The gentle shepherd uses organic farming practices and shears his own flock. Fleeces are hand washed and dried in the country air. We support the local small farming community with our purchases of fresh mohair, llama, and alpaca fleeces. These first quality fibers are individually chosen to blend with our own wools. In our farm studio the wools are minimally processed in small batches into unique homespun yarns...not far removed from the gentle animals that bear them. Our natural processing results in a low pilling, long wearing, lustrous, soft yarn. It becomes a perfect lasting investment for the project you have in mind. Our wool has been proven to felt beautifully in any shade that you may choose. As fiber artists we assure that only garment quality fibers are used in our yarns.
